Project Skinny Butt Week 3

Yesterday I skipped my weekly "tryin' to get skinny" update  because I haven't made very much progress this week.  Not. Giving. Up.

If nothing else, I have cooked healthy meals at home every night this week, AND even though I've been so very bad about exercising this week, we did play outside all week,  and chasing a toddler around the yard should at least count for something.

One of the favorite things I made this week was Chicken Tortilla Soup with Bean and Cheese Quesadillas.  I used whole wheat tortillas, low fat cheese and fat free refried beans.  So good!

I also found some fabulous smoothie and protein shake recipes on Pinterest this week and I've been using my Ninja blender pretty much every morning.  I love it.

I've also been adding this to my smoothies:

You can follow my smoothie Pinterest board HERE.

I also want to give y'all an update on my brand new broken elliptical.  They delivered our brand new elliptical last week and put it together for us.  It was broken.  They didn't offer to send another one.  They said they would ship the part that was needed and send someone out to fix it after the part arrived.  So, the part hasn't arrived and it has been over a week.  Our elliptical doesn't work.  Who thinks I should be mad?  I was so impressed with the customer service at Dick's Sporting Goods, but if there's nothing to back what's being said, then what good are nice people?  Yes, we bought the extended warranty.  So what?  We haven't even been able to use it once.  Uggggghhhhh!!!!!

Think positive.  Think positive.

  1. That is annoying about the elliptical. they should have given you a new one bc you haven't even used it yet. Anywho, those quesadillas look delish. Thanks for sharing. I love mexican. I am always trying to lose weight. I haven't been spinning in two weeks bc my kids have been home sick. I am feeling it. Have you tried the app My fitness Pal - counting calories. Good luck with your porject skinny butt. Love the name.
