This New Year's Eve we had planned to go to a little get together with a
few couples but since I picked our little guy up from my parents early
we decided to just have a fun family night. I cooked my first ever pot
roast in my new Dutch oven and made some frozen banana pops with white chocolate and
sprinkles for HPK's special NYE treats.
We had dinner and then decided
to take HPK to his very first movie in the theatre. We were so nervous
that he would talk loudly or scream or dislike the movie, but it turns
out that he was very amazing and he loved the movie. The theater had little
booster seats for the kids...how cute is that! Have movie theaters
always had these? I've never noticed them before. We saw Rise of The
Guardians. It was a perfect kids movie and contrary to some of the
family friendly reviews I read, it wasn't even the least bit scary. The
movie shows no nightmares, just some scary horses & one semi-scary
character (the boogie man) who didn't even look creepy at all to me. Great kids movie.
If you have concerns about this movie being kid friendly please please
email me & I'll tell ya all about it.
He loved it! (And we did too)
after the movie we let him play in the arcade and then headed home to
watch the ball drop and throw comfetti.
Hpk was asleep by 11 so we let him have a confetti party in the
kitchen this morning. He loved throwing his bag of confetti and yelling
" Happy New Year!" Then we swept it up and he threw it again ;)
So, today I'm working on my 2013 Bucket List.
AND I'm starting Day One of the FMS Photo A Day Challenge.
Here's Day 1, #FMSphotoaday How I Spent My Day
